Nowhere did Ignatius Sancho write explicitly about his antiracist approach to musical composition. Yet he was rarely so direct. Throughout his letters, he used subtle irony and biting wit to hold up a mirror to British society, prompting reflection on its prejudice and apathy in the face of suffering.
